Privacy Protocol & Data Governance
Core Principles
Ref: PIPEDA Compliance 2026
Effective Date: June 01, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how TaxPath Digital collects, uses, and protects the personal data of researchers, collaborators, and visitors. As a Canadian research hub, we align our practices with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and respect the fundamental principles of data sovereignty.
1. Information Acquisition
We collect information exclusively to facilitate educational research and academic collaboration. This includes:
- 01.1 Direct Inquiries: Name, academic affiliation, and email address provided via research contact forms.
- 01.2 Technical Logs: IP addresses used to visit the site, analyzed only for regional research distribution and system stability.
- 01.3 Research Metadata: Interaction data related to our theoretical exploration of Symbolic AI and connectionist models to improve our content delivery.
Encryption Layer
All transmission of sensitive academic data is facilitated through industry-standard SSL/TLS protocols with verified Canadian endpoints.
Temporal Bounds
Personal identifiers are scrubbed from our systems 24 months after the conclusion of an active research inquiry or collaboration.
No Third Parties
TaxPath Digital never sells academic datasets or visitor information to commercial marketing entities or data brokers.
Local Hosting
Primary research archives are hosted on infrastructure located within Canadian jurisdiction, subject to local legal oversight.
The right to be forgotten in the digital mind.
As researchers of machine memory, we understand the importance of human erasure. You maintain absolute control over the traces you leave at TaxPath Digital.
Specific Disclosures
Our research differentiates between symbolic logic (rules) and connectionist learning (patterns). While we analyze aggregate patterns of how visitors choose between these topics, we do not associate specific individual identities with theoretical preferences unless you explicitly opt into a case study.
We may collaborate with university researchers across Canada. In such instances, only anonymized datasets are shared. No personal information is ever released without a separate bilateral consent agreement signed by the data subject.
TaxPath Digital has appointed a Data Protection Liaison. For any inquiries regarding your personal information, please contact us at:
